Can
Beauty Creams Cause Wrinkles?
Chemical ingredients could make you look older. In my 18 years
as a healthcare practitioner, I learned that the effects of using
popular skincare products can actually be quite the opposite of
what you might expect. Some of the common side effects of using
these products can be:
- Wrinkles
- Premature age spots
- Rashes
- Acne
- Problem Skin
Regardless of the price
you pay or the brand you use, certain toxic chemicals common to
many popular skincare products can lead to these conditions. Other
possible side effects may include hair loss, chest pain, memory
loss, asthma, chronic fatigue, and even cancer.
SOAKING IT IN
Why is this
an issue? The reason is simple - the skin is the largest organ
of the body and it is a quick absorber, just like a sponge or
a paper towel. Some cosmetic product manufacturers claim that
the ingredients cannot absorb past a certain skin layer, but the
proof is in "the patch." To help stop smoking, people
use transdermal (placed directly on the skin) nicotine patches.
They also use aspirin or medication patches because the substance
on the patch can be absorbed into the body within seconds to get
the desired result.
READ YOUR LABELS
Consider the skincare products in your bathroom right now. Many
contain at least some potentially harmful ingredients. You may
notice Propylene Glycol (or PG) listed as one of the ingredients.
What you may not know is that propylene glycol is also the main
ingredient in automotive antifreeze and airplane deicing solution,
two things you would never dream of rubbing on your skin. Frequent
exposure to PG can irritate the skin according to the Agency for
Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, because it absorbs water
and dries out the skin. This can inhibit new cell growth. If enough
new cells cannot generate, the result can be wrinkles. PG may
also lead to contact dermatitis, auto toxicity, kidney damage,
and liver abnormalities, according to studies cited in the book
"Beauty to Die For".
The FDA states
that Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) may lead to blistering, bleeding,
or skin discoloration because of an increased sensitivity to ultraviolet
radiation from the sun. This may increase the risk of skin cancer.
Other potentially harmful ingredients include Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
(SLS), which is a potent degreasing agent that may cause eye damage,
breathing problems, skin spots, intestinal damage, cysts, low
energy, irritability, headaches, and memory loss. The American
Journal of Toxicology indicates that SLS contributes to premature
hair Ioss in men and women.
Mineral Oils
(also used as machine part lubricants, metal-cutting fluid, and
in engine oils) present another danger to skin. These oils coat
the skin, which prevents the escape of moisture. This can lead
to dry skin, rashes, and certain nutritional deficiencies because
of clogged pores, according to the Agency for Toxic Substances
and Disease Registry.
FD & C Color Pigments, usually made from coal or tar, can
irritate or discolor the skin, according to the FDA. Studies on
animals indicate some color pigments may also be carcinogenic.
Fragrances constitute
still another danger to skin. According to the FDA, fragrances
(natural and synthetic) are the number one cause of allergic and
skin irritations from cosmetics, and some have been proven to
cause cancer. Manufacturers know this, yet they seem to turn a
blind eye to such details that might interfere with potential
profits (the cosmetics industry generated $33 billion last year
according to the Journal of American Medicine).
THE S0LUTION: G0
NATURAL
In all my
years of practice, I've searched for a skincare product free of
harmful chemicals. This has certainly been a difficult process
because so many products claim to be "natural" or "organic."
It is hard to find products made of 80%, 70%, or even 50% natural
ingredients.
Many products contain some natural ingredients, but the chemicals
that surround them are what cause the real damage. In other words,
don't be fooled by the marketing hype. As a rule, most natural
ingredients will be familiar to you, so if you see an ingredient
that looks like a complicated word from a chemistry book, chances
are that the ingredient is not natural and may be unhealthy.
100% CHEMICAL FREE
AND CLINICALLY PROVEN
Fortunately, I finally found an amazing natural skin cream used
successfully in the Mediterranean for years. The product recently
became available in North America and it is so versatile that
it can replace the skincare products you use today. Another benefit
is that it costs only a fraction of what other products cost,
so you can save your skin and save your money. The name of the
product is Pure Gardensä Natural Botanical Skin Cream.
A top toxicology lab in the United States tested Pure Gardens
and found absolutely no chemicals in it. The lab reported that
it is one of the only skin care products they found to be completely
chemical free, and they couldn't understand how it worked so well!
A separate clinical study conducted by the International Clinical
Research Center proved that it was incredibly effective for problem
skin, producing surprisingly fast results for the subjects that
used it. Pure Gardens is also effective for helping to tighten
skin and address unsightly age spots.
SKIN FRIENDLY INGREDIENTS
A Mediterranean
Master Herbalist chose the 12 natural ingredients in Pure Gardens
to help improve and nourish the skin. Among them, he blended Chamomile
and Calendula; both cultivated for centuries in Europe and the
Mediterranean as anti-aging plants. Calendula oil is good for
treating rashes and acne, as well as burns or dry skin because
it has a soothing effect. Chamomile oil is also very soothing
to the skin, which is beneficial to rough or dry skin. It also
helps tone skin, which can help skin appear younger and tighter.
Another part of the formula, Apple Oil, can also help with rough,
dry skin, and works as an excellent remedy or blemishes and age
spots.
RESULTS
One of my patients noticed the appearance of fine lines and premature
age spots on her face and arms. To help with this, I recommended
Pure Gardens skin cream to her, and after only two weeks, she
noticed a significant improvement in the elasticity of her skin.
Pure Gardens is truly impressive because it works so quickly for
so many people. I have recommended Pure Gardens to numerous patients
to help with wrinkles, rashes, dry skin, and even problem skin.
Pure Gardens nourishes the skin and helps it function naturally
to alleviate any number of problems on its own. Another one of
my patients spent significant amounts of money on new products
to deal with premature age spots, wrinkles, and dry skin. I suggested
that she should try Pure Gardens for 7 days because the other
products might just be making things worse for her. Amazing results
for her came quickly as well.
And it just makes sense. In North America we have knowledge of
only 300 herbs, but in the Mediterranean, the knowledge base consists
of more than 10,000 herbs. It is this vast Mediterranean herbal
knowledge that makes Pure Gardens so effective. Through all my
years of practice, the biggest problem I find is that many beauty
products fail to nourish the skin with what it needs to be healthy.
Instead, harsh chemicals only make skin problems worse.
FIGHT AGING AT THE
SOURCE
Pure Gardens can help you deal with the signs of aging, such as
wrinkles and age spots. People who use Pure Gardens also experience
phenomenal, clinically proven results when dealing with problem
skin and other skin disorders. Another important thing to know
about Pure Gardens is that it is one of the few all natural skincare
products featured in the upcoming 2003 edition of the Physicians'
Desk Reference for Non-Prescription Drugs and, Dietary Supplements
(PDR). Doctors and pharmacists have trusted the PDR for more than
55 years. It is important to consider the source of the skin problems
you have. Despite a constant bombardment of environmental free
radicals, 100% natural Pure Gardens can help your skin work to
heal itself. It produces the best results I've seen in all my
years of practice, and it is considerably less expensive compared
to well-known, potentially harmful beauty creams.
As a doctor, I'm impressed with the results that people experience
in just seven days with Pure Gardens. To me, that makes it worth
five times its selling price. In fact, people tell me all the
time that I look like I'm in my 40s, and I get a kick out of hearing
that because I am actually 61. It's just more proof of the effectiveness
of Pure Gardens.
Remember, you don't have to spend a fortune to make your skin
look younger. Look past the marketing hype and focus on the facts.
Staying young might be as simple as reading your labels.
